An overview of the upcoming release of Rails, including:
- New features
- Security improvements
- Upgrade gotchas
I'll try and cover all of the big things and some of the more interesting small changes as well as tips for upgrading existing 3.2.x apps
I think Steven makes a good point. Instead of covering everything we need to know, maybe you could do a deep dive on a single topic?
With the hoo-ha about params last year and the recent patch fever it feels like security would be a good choice. I know strong parameters are coming, but are there other things that will make my app more secure by default? If not, are there things I should be switching on (or off), or approaches I should be taking that Rails 4 makes easy (or hard)?
What can we get out of this which we couldn't get out of a blog post?
